Kitchen Corner Summer Look

I was inspired by this photo

and by the caption

in my 1992 Victoria magazine.

To

Lighten a corner in my kitchen

to bring in light.

before and after

before-there were darker colors

after - lightened by blue and white

before a bit cluttered

after - cleared and cleaned

before warmer colors

after...whimsy and light

I love this bucket

I love this blue and white plate - 

I am quite pleased with the result.

I think the completing touch

was the dried roses

given to me by

my son for Mother’s Day.


I love that there's character in each room of this house.
I plan to bring Summer Lightness to each room.
